      No need to jailbreak guys (although i would recomend you do to fully unleash the iphone!)

      Pick a song in itunes and choose a 30 second clip (must be 30 seconds)

      To do this edit the start and end time of the song, once this is done right click and save/convert to AAC. Find the new 30 second clip and rename .m4a to .m4r

      eg

      bad.m4a to bad.m4r

      Then sync your ipod and it should automatically save. (edit* sync after you have altered the original, otherwise it will make the original 30 seconds, which i found out when going to listen to it on the bus lol)

      Then edit the original to play from 0 again and finish as the end and delete the ringtone (or leave it, it should be a new separate file)
