| Hi
So 22,000 miles complete (2007 Mk5) and OE Bridgestones are holding up well. Switched front to back at 14k and noticed inside edge of fronts well scrubbed (I'm told this is usual). How well do these tyres last - would 36k be realistic?

| I wouldn't imagine any tyres would last 36k on any car?

| I'm on ~17k and having changed the fronts a year ago I am now about to probably replace all four as we are going on a driving trip round Europe and I dont think they have 2000miles left on them!

| Ive gone through a front pair after just 11k!! Not a r32 though , a 2.2 zafira. The rubber was continental sportcontact 2 and ive just replaced them with the new sportcontact 3's. Very good tire, love the feel, just doesnt last. Dread to think how they'd last on a R. May be better off with the power being shared across 4 wheels?? | | | |

| 4 Dunlop Sport Maxx lasted me 20k miles and they were right down at the wear marker.
Given the levels of grip they gave I'd guess they were a fairly hard compound tyre i.e. harder wearing.

Do they not??? Continental lie!!!!! The 3's apparently have a higher wear rating (albeit small) which is why i went for them. Oh pants lol.

its what I had fitted to my BBS CH when I bought them, loving them compared to the dunlops. Not sure how they are going to wear yet though

| My dunlops lasted me 24.5k and i had all 4 changed for the first time to PS2s at the weekend. the wear was surprising even although i have got the comp haldex and have swapped front to back a couple of times (well the refurb place did). see how much better or worse the michelins wear now. | | | | | | | | | Linear Mode | | Forum Rules & Jump | | Posting Rules | | | | | | |
