      altho I haven't got the iPhone itself yet :(
      got 49 apps, a case, a screen protector, car holder, iTunes music library for the iPhone, a gallery on my me.com to upload 'iPhone crap' pics on.. and still no iPhone :(

      Have to have itunes 8.2 or newer then go to your phone in itunes and click check for updates. should do it.

      Speculation is that it's been delayed because a group of people demonstrated last night how to unlock the new OS. Apple may be fixing that before general release.

      Official line in O2 is that it will be available in iTunes around about 18:00 today.

      I'm sure I'll end up getting TomTom for mine too. I don't really use the GPS in my Blackberry because the software is crap. Also I've got a VW sat nav in the car and a TomTom Go for when I'm working abroad but I'm sure TomTom on the iPhone would be very useful.

      Price of TomTom i should think would be around £60.. was around that for the UIQ2 phones, and if it runs anything like that on the Iphone, should be very good !

      Been using the iPhone beta software for 3 for a while. Most people are hinting at 00:00 release.

      The crack was only done using v2.0.

      Cant believe its not out yet... I read this off a site.. Which would mean the 17:00-18:00 would be about right..


      “Apple is located on the west coast, so the earliest you’ll see 3.0 go live is 3:00 am eastern time” It’s exactly what I thought.

      I work for apple iphone and the software will not be released till tomorrow am 6am west coast time you should be able to start downloading 3.0 from itunes.

      Apple never posts release times, I have noticed they launch mid morning to avoid an extreme server load, so people will download it as they get up and with the time zones it will help even out the server load.

      I’m assuming it will be released at 12:00:01 AM PT, due to Apple HQ being in Cupertino, CA.

      When I rang O2 in the UK earlier the man said the update was probably going to be online at 6pm (BST), 5pm (GMT)!

      ha! dreams cost nothing I suppose! I would be very surprised given the popularity of the iPhone, TomTom don't cash in and bump the price. The software and hardware won't come under £100 and at very least they may match the price of the software to the price of current hardware and if matched against their IQ range then don't expect much change from £150.
      No upgrades or modifications. If it's good enough for Wolfsburg it's good enough for me!
