Had my Mk4 booked in at parkway vw in derby this morning for the ecu update. Was really annoying me having the huge flat spot between 2k and 3k.
After driving home i can't believe what a difference its made to the car. It now seems to pull much harder throughout the rev range, and it actually feels like theres some power under the bonnet!
Can't argue for £35![]()
i was told i didnt need the update but might just go for it
when i first called to book it in,they tried to tell me there wasn't an update available. I'd allready checked my ecu code beforehand so knew mine hadn't been updated.

we need this doing on ours but can't stomach the fact that VW will charge 1/2hrs labour to do it, rip off bastards

was sick of the flat spot so was worth the £35. I imagine it only took 10mins to upload the new map but oh well.

extra 10 bhp as well isnt it, i thought it mapped the audi tt engine( same engine) software on which is 250
no more power just takes out a dip in torque around 3000rpm makes it more driveable
is that the 6364 update or something like that? im not sure if mine has had it done or not as on a couple of occasions it has felt a bit flat and then all of a suddent it kicks back in?
The 6364 update is unknown to my local VW garage..... *rolls eyes*
group buy!!!!! lol
