which model is it a mkiv or mkv?
..you must have a short some where...could be a light stopping on like in your boot?
try taking the bulb out and see if it still goes flat

i remember reading that thread. if its the nav unit then apparantly there is a software fix although im surprised the previous owner didnt notice it.

theres any number of things that use power whilst the car is turned off. you need to either consult an auto electrician or get a haynes manual (or equiv) and remove a few fuses at a time and see what happens.

is the car used regularly. its a big engine and so the power used to start it will drain the battery if your not doing enough miles once started to put the charge back.

did the battery last longer than 6hr when it was new?

do you run anything whilst in the car (phone chargers etc etc)?

you need to be a LOT more specific with your issues as without looking at the car we have little idea exactly how your car is behaving etc.

Double check how long the fans stay on after switch off, could be a faulty heat sensor.
Head unit issue would have transpired already and i know the head unit would need to run for a lot longer than 6 hours to drain battry especialy a new one.

      1. stick meter on battary and turn on ignition, whats the voltage before and after?
      2. remove fuse for lights, head unit, 12v cig lighters, does it go flat?
      3. visit a spark

unplug the battery terminals and see if it lasts more than 6 hours?

Measure the current drawn from battery with engine off that will show if something is still running. If not maybe another faulty battery.
