Default Are my mods worth anything?

Not sure what section to put this in as they are not 'technically' for sale yet.

But, are my mods worth selling before I give the car back to VW?

I would need to get enough in order to have them removed and to make some money from them.

I spose the only bit that might be worth anything are:

      The exhaust, cats, manifold
      Carbon Bonnet?
      Cams?
      Suspension?

If I could get 1000quid for it all after paying to have it removed Id be happy. Is it worth it or shall I just return it to VW mods 'n all...?

Ps. This isnt DEFINATELY happening yet so vultures can keep circling...

      £1000 for the lot?

If someone doesnt snap all that up for that price id be EXTREMELY surprised.

yeh, its all got to go eventually, everything in the sig. Whoever buys will have to pay labour to have it removed though so to have all that taken off and then give me £1000 is probably going to cost the new owner a fair bit more in labour.

As I bought the car from VW modded they dont mind it going back in the same state. bonnet might be an issue but I can get rid of that easy.

would it be worth you getting a quote from ed @ aps for the removal labour costs?

yeh, I got a quote from vagtech. Think I would need some parts too as I dont have the original pieces, ie, suspension and zorst.and cams.

now we're talking resale values in a round about way!!

surely private would be worth more to you?

what was the bhp readout after cams and fuel inlet etc?

Really cant deal with private sales, don think I get much more anyway. Finance outstanding = about £13000, so I would need about £14000 at least for it in a private sale. Which aint gona happen.

As it is I can sell the mods, hopefully get £1000 for them and just hand the keys back to VW.

BHP is 270. not sure what the mods would read on a newer car though. Dave fish is running 264 from a milltek and intake!

Definately a car you'd want though after going out in one, I'd love one after my ride in an Atom 2 275!

If VW take the car back will you owe them / finance company anything.

Whats the reg / condition / mileage etc? Have a look on autotrader and see what price they are selling for similar to your age / mileage etc. The hassle of selling private must be worth it if you get more money?

No wont owe them anything, paid off 50% of the car so I can hand it back.

Mines a 55pplate with 36k miles, fairly low end spec, no recaros, satnav etc.

Really dont think Id get the extra cash and then Id have to settle the finance myself.

Haha! this is true, but this could be my only chance to own one. Nothings definate yet, just wanted to know if I should strip it before it goes back to vw.

Seems the consensus is that I should.

It's deffo worth stripping bits off, my bro done it with his bike - got rid of it to a shop so sold the bits off.

Have you ever been out in an Atom?

If not, get yourself on the Atom Club forum and get a ride in one. You will definately want one then!
