| just got to bracknell....back roads were awesome!....oops i mean there was quite alot of ice around....still amazes me how many idiots there are on the roads....
1. don't f**kin brake!!! use the gears to slow you down.
2. if you are using the brakes you are to f**kin close to the car in front
3. get a car with haldex or quattro for gods sake!
4. if you own a chelsea tractor they can drive in snow and ice over 5-10mph believe it or not!
5. just having a huge latte and bacon sandwich to celebrate the drive in lol
Shame i forgot my ski's could have gone on the dry (icy/snowy) ski slope in bracknell lol

| Yeah, so many people I have seen come short in the snow. They drive like idiots and have no idea how to compensate speed and control for the icy conditions. Joke. | | | |

| radio has been blasting out all morning theres 2000 cars stranded abandon'd in basingtoke. so best not head towards that way is my suggestion.
also on M3 i heard from a local many cars were left there! so do beware on the M3!

| Yes, makes you laugh. I had to pop out today in the R and some dude had lamped his Beemer. Must have slid of the road and parked it up next to a lamppost for safe keeping. Probably wanted to keep it under light over night…
Didn’t have my camera else I would have taken some pics on how not to commute to work. | | | |

| Day off work for me today. If I could get out of the estate is go. Lol. The R will be safely parked up on the driveway today.
Might go freelander shopping for the misses in the new year. My mates was incredible last night? How can there 4wd system be so much better in the snow and ice over a R32? He was getting up hill that mine was just doing all wheel spins on, and he was able to toe me. Madness!

| Probably wheel size, tyres etc., all making the difference. Plus the 4WD system must be built for that kind of stuff. | | | |

| don't forget the freelander will have semi road/off road tyres and also the 4wd system can lock the diff's up for true 4wd hence the extra traction etc
Its odd yours did not get up the hill.....i drove up a steep hill last night which was sheet ice and it was fine....

| hmm was doing about 40-50 i guess right in the middle of the road, just in case.
when it got choppy, a bit slower - i was overtaking traffic the whole way, and once on the ring road, everyone carved some tarmac on the left lane, so i overtook in the snow.
didn't use my brakes from swindon to my front door! inc. about 6 sets of traffic lights, all dsg and no traction control.
