| Hello,
Just booking up our family summer holiday. We are taking the misses car so the R32 would be parked on te driveway for a week. I am already taking both sets of keys away with me.
What else would people suggest? Disclock? Wheel clamp? Or not worry about it, it's insured?
Cheers
Dave

| when i didn't have anywhere to keep my car last year locked up, i took a holiday on the UK so that i could take the car with me! sad i know. do you know anyone where you can put it in their garage or driveway for the time you are away. atleast someone can keep an eye on it then.
i'm going to get tracker i think, as it has saved a family members car before.

| Get a disklok and pull a few essential fuses, don't think a MK5 can be started without the keys anyway. | | | |

| Was tempted to fit a a post that lifts up on my drive but that seems a bit extreme. It's off the road on my driveway just no garage to put it in. Got a garage but like most peoples it's full of bikes and empty paintpots.
Thinking a big fat disclock or could use that again I guess.
Tracker ain't for me. If someone nicks it. I don't want it back.

| If youve taken the keys thats enough.
If they want the car not even a disklock will help, They'd just tow/low loader it away!!!
Stop being paranoid if youve got it insured then chill!

Cheers guys.
PS.. Clearing garage out isnt an option. I built a nice bench for all my cleaning products to sit on.. no car will fit in now.. lolol

| I left my motor on my drive when i went away for 2 weeks in December.
Only hid my keys in my room. Looking back at it. Maybe i should have done more to prevent any chance of some knob getting at it. It was even over the period of the heavy snow so it was clear that i wasnt at home given the 3 inches of snow that had been on my car for a fortnight. Not even the little kids scrapped the snow off for snowballs :O

| If you get a mate to move it just give him/her a key and just get him/her to turn it round each day or two, looks like she is has been out then, | | | |

Surely keeping your car in your garage is more important than bikes, cleaning products and paint pots!!

On the way home he stopped to get a paper - you can guess what happened - gone in 60 seconds!
Make sure your house has a few timers on lights to stop it from seeming empty. Leave curtains open or slightly closed. Take keys and have a good holiday

Stop being paranoid if youve got it insured then chill! | Seconded, a friend of the family had one of their cars nicked years ago, there was a van and another car blocking it in which they moved out the way!
