Default My Euro trip and aftermath to inters

      Hiya guys,

Here are some new pics of the car which i took before inters:

Then i changed the alloys to 19" OZ Ultraleggeras:

Then i had the major mission of going over to Holland and back in a day. I left at 12.30 in the morning from Windsor to drive over to faulkstone to get the 3am train over to France. Arrived in France and started the drive through France, then Belgium and then Holland. Arrived at the VR6 Specialist after a hell of a drive, and left then with the car and went and got some breakfast and a large large coffee . After a few phone calls from Ronald with a few things about the car, ie leaking turbo oil drain line which needed changing and a faulty o2 sensor. So i went and did a bit of shopping and then had some kroket (spelling?) and chips with frits sauce which is def the best mayo ive ever had and have always wanted to try some more after living in Holland for a few years when i was a kid. Went back to the VR6 Specialist and me and Ronald went for a drive.

Ronald - 'okay put it in fourth and cruise under 2k of revs, and when i say go floor it up to the redline'

Me - 'Okay, you know this has the longer gears'

Ronald - 'yeah it will be fine'

      Me - 'Okay'

      Ronald - 'Go'

Ronald - 'Oh shit i think we better slow down'

Basically the car will go up to 130+ in fourth and it was a bit fast down the Dutch country lanes, lol.

Ronald - 'Okay i think we better do it in second'

Me - 'Yeah i think that would be best' (thinking thank god).

So after a little play and trip into Germany, the mapping was done and i started the epic journey back, and finally arrived back in Windsor at around 3am after and epic drive through 5 countries in one day, doh!

Here are some pics they took whilst at vr6 specialist:

      http://www.vr6specialist.nl/tuning/t...ase=1215079244

I was up the next morning early to head up to inters where you all know what happened. But here are the aftermath pics:

Basically the O2 sensor which the vr6 specialist were not able to get to disintegrated and flew into the turbo blowing the shaft up :( :( :(

But the car is all fixed up and ive just received it back now, and because of feeling down when it happened i ordered up some new bits for her:

The are the Jay Cap caps: http://jcapsonline.com/joomla/index.php

Oh yeah and i had a mate make me up a gauge holder which just needs to be trimmed in the door card, as i hate the jap look of having gauges in the pillar pods and it is really easy to see them where it is

Some of you may also have noticed the new plate at inters:

Cheers, although i may be going back to stock wheels if they fit to get a better ride quality. Road noise is quite bad but the handling is amazing compared to say eagle f1s etc etc as i reckon i can take a turn 10mph faster with these. As for mileage i reckon they have done at least 5k and only around half way through the tread.
