EPC light keeps coming on, on my gf's Audi A2 and when she leaves it for abit and goes back out and puts the keys in again its off happens now and again any ideas anyone?

Just wondering as she rang audi and they want £110 for an hours diagnostics but if the light isnt on when she goes up as it only happens now and again for a breif time would it show anything up anyways.

Thanks for any info guys

Stu

Try a clutch pedal and brake light switch (no more than £17 the pair) and let me know how you get on.

it should bring up some fault codes on the machine if the light keeps coming back on as every time u switch off the ignition the computer resets and stores the fault codes in its memory and brings the light back on if the fault happens again. so might be worth checking out. u could try and find an indepedent garage with diagnostic equiptment who will be half the price of of audi. hope this helps.
