Hello, I've just bought a MK V R32 and as a result I'm new to this forum. The car is still with the dealer whilst they do the pre-delivery prep (it was their demonstrator) and sort out the cherished number transfer. The car is pretty highly specified and seems to have most of the options available.
It has the DVD Sat Nav, and the iPod adapter in the armrest. Could anyone give me an idea of how the iPod interacts with the LCD display in the dashboard, what functionality is available - in general, how do you use it?
TIA,
Steve.
The stereo thinks the iPod is the multi-cd changer so you can select between 5 playlists and the sixth is the whole iPod. You only get track numbers and track times, no names....
Does work well though, particularly if you have the multi-function steering wheel too.

Thanks JayCee.
Yes, the car does have the multi-function steering wheel. Sounds like I'll need to build some playlists on the iPod - I tend to use the album art feature on the iPod to find what I'm looking for when I use it.
Steve.
To be honest that iPod interface is pretty crap. You don't get any track names shown and only very, very limited control over your iPod.
Gone, not a member here any longer.
Does the iPod interface impose a limit on how many tracks you can have in a playlist?
99 I think.

Thanks Burble. Yes, I thought it might be limited to 2 digits by the LCD configuration.
