Hi There.
I bought my golf a few months ago and it came with an Ipod connector in the glove box. Problem is, the CD player does not work. The guy where I bought it thinks the Ipod connector has been plugged into the CD plug. The CD player has no power or anything. I want to take out the Ipod connector as the navigation of the Ipod via the radio is a nightmare. I can't seem to work out how to get to different tunes on the Ipod etc. I'm happier with a good old CD thanks very much!
Anyone know how to easily remove the fron t of the Radio unit to swap over these plugs? I've seen a couple of guides to do other vaious installations of bluetooth devices etc but all seem to involve much more than I need to do.

Yep, that'll be the reason. The iPod connector plugs into the CD changer interface on the back of the radio and without something like a Denison Gateway you can only have one or the other.

To get to the back of the radio have a look at this thread. It's not as daunting as it looks, just take your time and it's easy.
