What do you mean by 'black plate bracket'?

The grill is really easy to remove, a bunch of screws (some T20, some philips) and a bit of patience are all that's needed. It's about a 5 minute job.

I was pointed to a guide online when I asked how to remove mine. I'll see if I can find it.

Found the guide - click click.

When you've done everything the guide says if you look around the bonnet latch there are two clips that you have to push as you lever the grill off. It'll be obvious what I mean when you look.

what i meant by the bracket was the black plastic bit that holds the registration plate, between the grill and the licence plate
thanks burble for the reply, i'm gonna have a stab at it.

Ah, the registration plate holder is just screwed into the grill. If you remove your plate you'll see a couple of screws behind it.

burble using your picture you posted on tyresmoke, the 4 or 5 screws marked in red, how do you remove them, i've tried pulling on them but it wont budge? is it clipped on and only accessible once you remove the grill?
thanks again

From what I remember those bits are meant to be where you drill through to mount the license plate holder - those screws won't be holding the grill onto the car.
