R32 & GTI meeting in northern italy!!! - R32OC

This Year we will propose You the usual "R32 & GTI meeting". Now we reach the third edition!
This time we will propose You a "2 days event" considering that some partecipants will come from a long distance.
The event will start on saturday afternoon and will continue on the evening drinking on a beer and having pleasant "motor"-conversations. Then it might be continued all the night long if you like. On Sunday the main event and the road-journey.

Meeting Point: saturday 4 october 2008, 10.00am at VW AUDI SAGRINI in Darfo Boario Terme (BS) - 25047 Italy

Saturday Afternoon: meeting point in the morning is VW AUDI SAGRINI and then we will drive for a 100km along fascinating roads (with road book). We will arrive at Boario where there will be a light break at "autostazione" bar. Then we will stop for ldinner at "Archeopark" restaurant-pizza.
The restaurant is not far from the bar and we will park our "jewels" in the garden (a safe & sure place). There are a lot of pubs or other kind of places.

Sunday morning: after having breakfast we will leave at 8.00am to a wonderful trip along "driven" roads (again with complete road book). It will be 40km trip and we will reach "La Storia" restaurant (a fascinating place already know by the previous editions)
Lunch: this is a typical mountain restaurant, meat based menu and typical products. We have fixed a complete menu (drinks included) at 35 euros / person.

We have not prepared a program for the sunday afternoon because, like in previous editions, probably we will stay relaxed at the restaurant eating, drinking, talking and laughing together. But, every sudden program could be defined at the moment.
Notes to come back to Your houses: you will reach the major streets to bergamo and brescia 50km from there.
I will update this topic as soon as I have some news.
We are waiting and be pleased that some german users with magnific supertuned vw will be probably present at this 3rd edition.
Please stay tuned on this TOPIC because some details (hours, etc) could be lightely changed and if someone will propose places, restaurants, reservations and so on we will be very happy.

Very tempted to have a ride down for this.Might need to buy shares in Shell first.lol What is weather like round there at that time of year?:cool:

This could be a great weekend away... only thing is I'll have only just got back from honeymoon so I don't think I'll be able to make it.

Could be good for it next year tho.

at the beginning of october we usual have sunny days, about 18°C

last year we had a cloudy morning (only sunday) and a sunny afternoon, with over 20°C!

Wonderful Meeting: pleasant places, fascinating spots, and carefully planned.
I'm already in list thirough italian Forum.
The location means a lot of distance, but could be an interesting moment to visit noth-east of italy.

there are many amazing places to visit:

- monteisola: the biggest lake's island of europe (20km from the meeting)
- franciacorta, where there are the best wine producers of europe (50km from the meeting)
- Bergamo: a very good city (Bergamo "high" is a very interesting story place)
- Naquane, where there are preistorik drawings on the rock! (10km from the meeting)
- Boario Terme, with the thermal centre (0km from the meeting)

maybe Ivo can help me to let you know many other amazing places to visit

concerning this area
Boario Terme is not far from Brescia,
and so you are at the middle of:
Valtellina Mountain, doing a step mountain
Alto Adige with wonderful mountain places
Lago di Garda (with desenzano, peschiera, riva del garda & so on)
Then You may visit (less that 2 hour of trip): Milano, Bergamo, Verona, Mantova, Trento

If you are planning some days there will be a lot of interesting places to see.
Also Venice in probably no more than 2 hours.
You may test every potential trip by viamichelin (just to have an idea).
The season is quite pleasant: normally 18-20 degrees and dry.
September and October Gastronomical Theme starts to be Polenta, Funghi and also Castagne period in some places.

I may see if I can coincide this with a need for me to be at the office in Milan. I'm not sure how but I can probably find the need to drive there (done it before) and therefore let the company pick up the fuel bill.

a german boy feels warm during the night so he decided to go out with ALL the room (telephone included)

so.. this year we want to increase the number of R32 & GTI... the meeting will be on 3-4 october on COMO LAKE, in Cernobbio (near George Clooney Mega-Home)

would love to go to this but the wife will be due to have our baby a couple of weeks after.

I love that area and have stayed in Riva. Always wanted to do a European trip in the R32

I was chatting to my other half about this a couple of weeks ago and we were both up for until until we noticed that we're in Cyprus until the Sunday morning.
