hey folks.just got my boost gauge fitted but when the engine is off the gauge reads two digits below 0!!!

am i right in thinking this means it is reading two digits less psi when its at max pressure?

how do i sort this???

mine reads -0.5 when the car is idling and when cruising along so think its fine mate

Mine sits at -20 which is what the guys in the US reads at around the same altitude, When you put your foot down it should rise and when you’re at around 4K+ it should be pushing up towards the 6.5psi mark. And when you take your foot off it should gradually come off as the car slows (unlike a turbo) I don't think you’ve got anything to worry about!

ok cool thanx guys!!!must be ok then!!

dosent quite make 6psi like but i havent given it a proper thrashing yet!

iv only got stage 1.shood you not be hitting 9 psi with stage 2??

Sounds good to me! I think you get 6.5 with stage 2 and 6.2 with stage 1 IIRC.... If you have a leak somwhere you may be loosing some but i'm not sure how accurate these gauges are.
