Default advise on running schrick cams

what exactly is needed to go along with the cams? the reason i ask is at my local vw dealer on owner has just put his car back to standard, so had cams taken out. the service manager has mentioned that he also changed the fpr from 4bar to 3bar when the cams were fitted to the car? aparently this is due to the car over fuelling with the higher lift on the cam and duration.
so anyone who has had the cams fitted could you tell me exactly what was needed or parts that were needed to be replaced at the same time? gaskets seals anything like that.
also thinking while the inlet manifold was off, i would get the milltek manifolds fitted as it would be pretty simple at the same time?
anyone had problems with timing chaines? poor blokes r32 that was at ve has had 3 sets so far so feedback from owners with these fitted would be great, good and bad feedback! take it your ok to drive the car for a little while to go and get it mapped?

thanks in advance for any replies.

Upgrade mine to a 264/260 schrick, no other parts changed as was advised by tuner. However, you need to ensure that the two rubber rings (5p diameter) on each stock cams is put onto the schrick cams.

      Been running fine since.

Stealth racing Vince did the remap. you MUST remap after the cams, else its pointless to do the mod.

I am running uprated Schrick 268 CAMs and nothing else needs changing.

Most R32s has a 4 bar fpr anyway.

Get a decent remap and it transforms the car - well worth it.

I'd love to get cams but every time I start to save something else comes up LOL.
