    Thumbs up EBC YellowStuff Review

I had some EBC YellowStuff pads fitted all round with new OEM disc back in January and thought I'd share my thoughts on them.

After noticing my existing OEM pads had seen better days, I did a little reading on the forums and ended up going for deciding on EBC, RedStuff or YellowStuff was the next question. After speaking with EBC they recommended YellowStuff. The pads arrived from EBC and my so did some new OEM discs (thought I'd get those done too) within a few days. I had them fitted by my Local VAG specialist Chris Umpleby in Bradford, £76 for fitting front and rear, discs and pads.

The guys at EBC recommended that I take it easy on the new brakes for 500 miles. Even in this initial period the brakes were noticably sharper. So after the 500 miles were out of the way I got down to giving them a good workout on some of my fave roads.

To say I am impressed would be a massive understatment, they bite well from cold (which I thought was going to be problem) and once up to temperature they are awesome. I've given them a good workout and have not managed to get them to fade, braking from high speed is also noticably better. As for brake dust, the YellowStuff pads don't seem to generate any more dust than the previous OEM pads, which is a bonus as I like my wheels looking good.

Finally, can I add a big thanks to Andy Freeman at EBC for his help and advise on selecting me new pads.

    Cheers
    Carl

Hi mate, when you spoke to EBC, what reasons were you given for using the Yellow rather than the Red??? Do you do Trackdays??

What are the differences? I am assuming how aggressive the pads are? I have seen green and heard of red, but I have not heard of yellow. How do these dust, the stock ones are crazy!
