Default Porsche GT3 Seats & Subframes

These are high quality replica Porsche GT3 seats that I removed from from my Audi TT at the weekend. The seats are made from Carbon Fibre and leather and as a result are far lighter that the standard seats. The subframes are genuine Recaro, designed for Porsche but are the correct fitment for Audi TTs, Mk 4 golfs and other VAG cars with the same fitment. I am not sure what metal the subframes are made from, possibly aluminium, but they are also quite light weight. The combination of seat and subframe is noticeably lighter than standard seats.

These are only a month or so old and they cost £780 for the seats and £400 for the subframes, the resitor wires (to stop the airbag lights coming on) are another £30, so roughly £1,210 worth of seats. Since having them fitted they were only sat in a handful of times and are in 'as new' condition. Everything you need to fit these is included (apart from an 8mm allen key and a 17mm (I think) socket!).

The seats are attached to the subframes, all you have to do is undo the 4 bolts per seat, remove the old heavy seat and detach the clips underneath (air bag and heating). You slide in the new seat, line it up and do the bolts up again, reach under and clip in the resitor wire plug. You then need to undo the lower seat belt bolt, pass the belt through the seat and do it up again. Takes about an hour to swap over two seats and is an easy DIY.

As these aren't very old and are genuinely like new I am asking £900 for them, a cool 25% discount from new.

Due to the size they will need to be collected from my house in Essex (just off J28 of the M25).

I will take some actual photos of the seats now they are out of the car, when I have a chance, but they look like these:

Am not sure to be honest, I never tried in the TT as it has a rear seat delete kit. Would imagine it is just as difficult to get someone in the back as it would be trying with your OEM seat in the normal position, so not easy.

Would suit 5 door cars...or cars where no one uses the back seat!

I think they'd look awesome in 3 or 5 door, but they'd be more use in a 5 door and treat rear passengers to a nice view of CF!!

Good luck with the sale elrao!
