I live in Newcastle and had a quote for a 2 day job to refurb and anthracite x4 19" rs4 alloys (2 days must be a proper job ey?)

The current state and state they are they will need more than just a "refurb" heavy curbing which have left them pretty rough.

Now the quote was £360 and that with a set of wheels to drive my car away with which is kind of the deal breaker - either a spare set lent to me from the centre or a 1 day service as I can't do without my car.

Is £90 per alloy too steep?
Is there a recommended place in Newcastle or close to (excluding Sunderland. Middlesbrough Stockton etc) don't want to travel too far.

Cheers.

Mate, The guy that a few of us use here by London is roughly the same price as you had got quoted.
So in all fairness sounds about right. ;)

The winky face has me wondering if you are being a tad bit sarcastic haha

I've seen quotes for £200-£220 etc from other people so im starting to wonder what the other £160 is being spent on.

The alloys are in shocking condition like

I was quoted £400 off the wheel specialist but the one in Newcastle... bit steep.

Quotes so far:

£336 - £240 (cash) - £295 - £400 - £360

All 2 day jobs and all Newcastle based quotes for 19" full reburb.

The £295 quote sounds good as he was willing to negotiate if i ring back with other quotes plus for £400 the brakes can be painted too (sounds ok?) might see what I can get.

Anything £300+ for just alloys seems way to steep.
