What engine oil do people use when servicing there mk4

Service is due next week unsure of what oil to use in between two minds of going millers nano or quantum 5w/40

I'd use 5w/40 just don't no which brand to go with

quantum 5w/40 is what dealers and most indy garages would use and as good as anything. Millers nano is good stuff but to be honest your never notice the difference plus nano is one of the most expensive oils you can get.

My engine was most happy using shell helix ect 5w40 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Over the years I've used factory castrol slx , slx2, quantum gold, now mobil 1 ESP 5w30

Can't say you would notice any difference other than the engine always feels smoother and certainly quieter for the first 150miles after the oil change !

Quantum synta gold, 5w30 which is vw504\507 spec

Some reckon 5w40 quantum is fine too

Castrol 5w30 here, seems fine to me
