Hi all,

Been reading posts on decats and have seen a few people have added spacers. I am considering going down this route and don't really want EML on as it will only annoy me.

Has anyone got these spacers fitted with no EML?? Do I need a spacer on one lambda or both??

Cheers all.

42 Draft Design do Lambda spacers

http://www.awesomegt...2-sensor-spacer

Its not guaranteed to work Lee, some people they work for then the light comes on and off at its own free will. Some people put the lambdas in with no spacer and the light is intermittant/off

Mine does this, they throw up an engine management light, so i erase the code with my cheap ebay reader and it stays of for days at a time :)

Wez, do you have a lambda spacer fitted on the pre cat sensor?? Been looking at this setup and 99% of people with the spacer fitted have had zero issues with EML.

you can get lambda spacers on ebay easy. Anyone that uses my de-cats will need a 90 degree spacer as my de-cats already have the lambda spacer made longer. If you add another spacer on top the lambda`s will be against the belly of the car.

Lucifer, would I need 2 spacers for both post cat sensors??

So the L shape ones are best on your decats??

The L shape one are what you need. To be honest i don`t know much about Lambda censors and how they are configured in the ECU map to know if you could get away with one or not. For the price and hassle involved i would just buy and fit two as they are sod all really.

There are only two bosses on the de-cat pipe so you only need two spacers.

Would you not want your car mapped afterwards anyway to take advantage of the decat so then you could get them coded out at the same time?

Does anyone know the locations in the map to disable the lambda sensors? I can pull my map off and read it, but still getting to terms with finding the maps in the file.

VagCom/VCDS. VDS-Pro, VAGTacho, MPPS ECU Flash/Read, Fault code reading, key coding, SKC Pin code Retrieval, auto locks, remote windows, Miles to Empty, alarm beeps, lit needles, Immobiliser programming, Generic ECU Map Flash/Read. etc - based near Gatwick.

Just s word of warning you might get clearance issues between the top of the lambda probes and heatshield if you are running manifolds with your decat, pushing the heatshield up against the propshaft if you use spacers.

Only a minor issue as you can bend the heatshield so it dies not rub
