Newbie with a few questions! - R32OC

Hi Guys, this is my first post thought id introduce myself a bit. My names Vitali and im currently in the middle of buy a LHD 2002 Silver Reflex R32 with 40kms on the clock from Latvia. Yes i know another damn eastern european.. Anyway, I plan to drive it back and forth between Latvia and the UK for Uni in Reading between terms. First question I have is how does the R handle long trips such as 1500 miles in two days.. Are the seats comfortable?, any problems with reliability or known little niggles to worry about? What can I expect for fuel economy?

I find the seats very comfy but I know others say they are too stiff. I think as long as you get the adjustment right you'll be fine. The R32 is a great long distance cruiser IMO

Have a look for the "buyers guide" for a list of known probs with the MkIV R32.

Fuel wise you'll see around 28-30mpg on lond journeys, where as short blasts will return nearer 20mpg
