Rare, low-mileage Golf R hatchback coupe (VW only imported 5,000 of these hot hatches to the U.S. [including both two and four door models] and no longer imports the coupe model of the Golf R),. Purchased new in June, 2012, selecting color, sunroof and navigation options in January. Basic Golf R model has everything included (i.e. leather; heated seats; 60/40 split rear seat fold down; back seat center armrest with ski pass thru, HID headlights w/ adaptive front steering; etc.) and the sunroof and touchscreen nav were the only options available. NOTE: this car was assembled at Wolfsburg, Germany (one of few VW models not assembled in the U.S.). Car is a 'sheep in wolf's clothing' (fastest VW in America in 2012) and is a blast to drive. This car basically is a GTI on steroids. I have added a custom installed Escort 9500 radar/laser detector; tinted windows; front full 3M bra; VW all weather mats; custom inside windshield sunshade; custom car cover; GTI gearshift handle (still have original 'automatic-looking' handle); original VW roof rack (only used when carrying outsize materials); AutoTrim sound deadening from window-line down and a battery maintainer (car still has original battery). Garage kept & covered; regularly serviced by VW and I have all service records. Presently has Michelin Ice-X stud-less snow tires and I have 8x18 low profile tire chains for front wheels (never used). This car is truly a 'gem'. I LOVE this car, and I'm only selling it (reluctantly) because we don't need three cars. Check out what others have said about the 2012 VW Golf R: Autocar Magazine, May 2012 - you won't be disappointed. The car was damaged recently in a road rage incident, but the damage was not major and was fully repaired by Hinshaw's AutoBody in Auburn, WA. The car looks and drives as new/ View attachment R Picture Montage.pdf

This ad for the 2012 Golf R Coupe is NOT spam. It is the real deal. I purchased the car in 2012 and used it sparingly (56,000 miles). I just purchased a '98 Porsche 911 Cab, and I don't need three cars. Hell, I'm retired, I don't 'need' two cars. The garage has only two spots, so the third car must go (marital harmony, and all that). That said, the R is a BLAST to drive, and I'm only selling it reluctantly.
