With the crazy money spent on turbo/supercharging an r32 has anyone tried shoe horning in a 4.2 v8?

ive seen some threds on mk 1 and 2's converted to rwd and caddys with the engine in the back ( saw a thread or a caddy the outher day with 2 s3 engines ,one in front one in back) but never a 32

seems like a good way to get masive reliable power

Am sure the v8 just to big for the actual engine bay, or you may need to move the engine mounts.
Remember the way audi do there engine is right over the front axel(if its the rs v8 you talking about)

I had an S4 as a courtesy car and the V8 was a beauty to listen to,the power was rapid late on.
Twenty quid in two days was fun

While delivering stuff to Audi recently there was a V8 and gearbox from a RS 4 on the floor
It's was nearly as big as a R

Yeah that another issue gearbox is massive in rs4's, and am sure a v8 engine to much power for a r32 gearbox.
Would be brill tho have a rs engine & performance wif a .:R shell(cosmetic)
Gav what v8 did you have in mind?
Since we kinda all jumped to audi rs engine.

That the 2.7 bi turbo V6 in the first rs4 b5 shape in the audi,
The 4.2 NA V8 in the second rs4 b7 shape

Cause am sure that, s3 model only came in fwd

To big and heavy for an already nose heavy car plus why bother when you can get 1000 bhp from the standard engine unless you want to prove it can be done just for the hell of it.

yep i was a passenger in an 02 rs6 the other day and was astounded by the power

as more companies are doing fi kits and more people are fitting them im hoping the price will come down a bit

C5 Rs6 engine, i can't mind what the v8 in the rs6
But am guessing that will be even bigger then the rs4 block plus that only comes in auto

Agree there,
Cause the comment put up wif the audi having the 2.7 bi turbo v6 look crammed into that engine buy.
So think it would be major work to fit a v8 in then there geaxbox issue's.

The V8 won't fit unless MAJOR surgery is done to the shell!
