Longlife by the looks of it.

Sounds like its time for new suspension then. Don't bother with standard stuff it would probably cost the same as a decent coilover setup and the coilovers will give a better ride. Mine certainly do then a standard car :D

is that long life or annual milage Service Plan?

Mak!
at 50k I got it serviced and changed to annual/10 k servicing
How much ?

I got a quote for mine at APS (For also 60K service), It will be £190.00
SLX CASTROL SLX 0.5L (x11)
That made me smile! next thing they will be selling them in 10ml tubes and charging £200 Oil. Normally they buy them in 25 gallon drums.

it should say "SLX CASTROL SLX 5.5Ltr" - £normal price.00p

yeah thats crazy that they reckon they used 11 bottles of the stuff.

Cant beleive it was so much though, dont think you can beat a vw specialist doing a service.
I've been thinking asbout this one as I always use VW as I like to see a full manufacturers history in the service book but I'm beginning to wonder if I'd be as well going to awesome GTi and just be done with it. What are people's thoughts on buying/selling cars like the R32 with a VW/Vdub specialists mixture?!

I had mine serviced at Awesome last time (same day as MacDaddys was in for the same thing). Car is comin gon five years old, its a specialists
car, one which attracts buyers that generally know what they are looking for. As a result they will know of all the decent VW specialists including Awesome and will trust them just as much if not more than the stealers. I know I do.

I wouldn't hesistate buying a car that had a history of being serviced at APS, Awesome etc. In my opinion its better than some of the horror stories you read liek, your cam belt will need changing soon sir, or your spare tyre is looking pretty low on tread, both of which are true events from VW servicing. My car doesn't go to the stealers unless its necessary. The stealers prices are enough to put anyone off. £90 per hour labour charge!!!! Not a chnace that mine will be serviced at the dealers. Just my opinion of course.

If they know much about the R32 then they'd probably prefer to see Awesome's stamp or another specialist rather than a VW stealer!
My pal has a 07 Audi A4 cabriolet, he took it in for its first service recently at Audi and they noted one of the tyres had a rip in the side wall (which they deemed unsafe to drive on)so instead of replacing it they just took the spare tyre out of the boot and put it on the car and put the wheel with the tyre wall rip in the boot.

Whats he meant to do when he gets a flat tyre!!!

Stealers can be really dumb and an absolute nightmare. Might look into Awesome GTi service. Only thing is at the moment my car still has approx 9 month of warranty as bought it off VW and they provided 12 months.

Clearly he is a hairdresser or a nail technician driving an A4 cab... so he would be calling out the AA to change it anyway as "his hands are precious"...... (Just my opinion of course) :xD
Can't beat Awesome, as soon as my cars past and present are out of warranty they always go there.

Brilliant service always have a good chat and i always like the fact that you can watch your car being worked on.

Last time i was in there was with my old 4 motion and front ARB had gone, they didn't have the part and only had a model that was about a 1/3 more in cost. They said i could have it for the cost of the standard part - I was well chuffed.

Just because you have VW Warranty doesnt mean you have to go to a VW garrage to get it, as any garage by law should be able to do it, ie awsome could do it :)

come to think of it, he is a bit of a pu$$y! Doubt he would change a tyre, and has the A4 cab for posing. He reckons he blew £28k on it (S-line, leather etc..)

I couldnt believe he spent that much and didnt get an R32 or S3. He only has the 1.8T as well which has NO power to it. He is 26, thought the insurance would be too expensive to get the 2.0 petrol turbo 197 PS engine, Idiot!!

He's a doc too (not a hair dresser!) and lives in Wilmslow. Poser!:D
I just wish there was a VW specialist near me, I have to drive 100 miles to get to VW
