Airstrips?

There' one in Hertfordshire near Hemel Hempstead.

It's completely abandoned but I can't actually remember where it is! I think you can see it on google maps.

Just havig a look on Google Earth (yes that bored at work) and it may be Bovingdon Airfield?

Hi, bovingdon airfield would be the one. Its about 10 mins off the A41, either Bourne End or Hemel Hempstead jct. I'm not to sure on there usage for it during the week. They hold a big market there every saturady so possibly could ask the orginizers of that. I live about 15 mins from it. Max power used to open the site for various shows a few years back. I would be up for taking my R there for a bit of fun.

i live in Bovingdon, they run a market on saturdays but i beleive its unused on a sunday, its not as smooth as ud like though! i used to go to the market just to race up and down the airfield till they brought ina 10 mph speed limit, boooo!

Its Private property i dunno who owns it but i can swing past the billboard tomorrow see if theres a number anywhere?

I had the exact same thought yesterday, just make sure there's no hidden drop offs ffs!

Is there one over Wisley way ?
