Is any of you Mk5 owners considering to go turbo route within 4-8 weeks ?
If yes, which turbo kit are you going to buy ?

I'm talking with 034 motorsport and was wandering if any Mk5 owners would like to join the force and maybe we can try to negotiate better price

Around £4920 (inc 23% for import duty and VAT) + shipping.

Looks like a good kit but I don't like the turbo manifold. HPA's is LOADS better.

You can forget the software, US tunes rarely work properly over here.

Downpipe looks like it will be very close to RHD brake servos.

They might not entertain a UK group buy in case of any fitment issues.

And finally, it makes JBS's stage 1 kit look a total bargain, and having used 034 Motorsport for parts in the past, they are a great company to deal with.

Be under no illusion though, it won't be as simple as just throwing it on and have a contingency budget set aside for any pre and post install issues.

Many thanks for heads up

I'm aware of the issue with downpipes that's why I have asked twice about it. So far was told once that it would fit without issues so I'm waiting for second confirmation

I know that Wayne has same kit but I'm not sure if he has fitted his downpipe so it's a bit of waiting game.
What I'm surprised to hear is mapping issue you have mentioned.
Their map is based on 91 octane (US) fuel which would be 95 octane in UK (I might be wrong here). Can't see it to cost hundreds of £ to check the mapping by reputable tuner.

Can you point me to some source for US maps not working well on UK cars ?
Oh and by no means I'm organizing any group buy

Many thanks for your advise

The downpipe might not need too much tweaking to fit. Have 034 confirmed it fits UK cars?

We've had trouble with US tunes in the past with Supercharger kits. Too much timing, too much fuel in the wrong loads/rpms, not enough fuel in other areas etc!. 034's tune is probably better than some others but I would still get it checked on a dyno first (for pinking) before driving it in anger on the road!

Guy I'm talking to said that it would fit without issues. But I would like to here it from somebody who actually fitted one to a UK or AUS car. These days some companies would tell you anything just to sell. I'm not saying that 034 is that kind of company but I would like to hear it from at least one more source.

You are right about getting car checked after kit installation. 034 supplied map will be good to get me by until I will get appointment with local tuning company.

Many thanks for your advise
