I am starting to lose the plot on where my aux socket might be in my mk5 r32.
I have trawled the Internet to try and locate it and I still can't find it. The car has sat nav and 6 cd changer.
Anyone know where it is located? Are they standard with sat nav?
Help!!!!

Later VW cars have it on the outside face of armrest, but I've also seen them inside the armrest and in the top right hand rear corner of the glove box.

As Bob said it should be on the front of the armrest. You prob have a little black square blank in place of where it should be. I used to have the old ipod dock in mine and aux was blanked off

I think you have as I'm pretty sure they weren't fitted as far back as late 2006 / early 2007
