As title i think i my aux belt tensioner is knackered. There is a grinding/worn out noisy...noise coming from washer bottle area.
If i push on the tensioner, just a little pressure, i can feel it and the noise changes for the usual quieter.

So of it is this any fixes?? Or if i got replace it....how much will i get shafted?

Anyone else had this problem??

Hi,only answer is to change it really. I changed mine and the belt at the same time. Not much room in there but straight forward enough.
Tensioner was from Euro if I remember correctly. With forum discount its not the end of the world.

You can get a new pulley and bearing from united motorsports which has a readily available bearing in it. So works out cheaper in the long run, and you don't need to buy a new tensioner each time

Yeah i wouldnt let the tensioner belt snap or you could be looking at a lot higher costs! Its a simple job mate, 22mm spanner to take the tension off the belt, remove the belt, allen keys holding the tesioner on the block, then whip a new one on along with a new belt and put tension back on belt! Nothing to line up, just make sure the ribs of the belt are in the grooves of the pulleys.
