hi all drove car yesterday and was fine
today had trouble starting it and then it spluttered to life and when i gave it a little rev the car spluttered and then cut out, it sounded like it was missing, turned it over again gave it a little rev and same cut out, i turned over again and just left it to run for a couple of minutes and tried reving again it gave a little splutter but stopped cutting out and sounded rough when reved left it a few more minutes as tick over sounded normal, has the car warmed up it started sounding better, then i took for a little run and after 5 mins of taking it easy i started driving her has normal, once properly warmed i took down motor way just incase it was fuel starved or a block someware, and put her though her paces and all was good, i will try another cold start tomorrow to see if problem comes back, if so what should i look at/for

To be honest Dave it could be anything. My first thoughts were CCM. Then i thought compression, as it improved when it got warm. Could also be a coil pack.
Any lights on the dash? Does the fuel pump prime when you open the door?

i was thinking coilpack myself, what is ccm, nothing on dash as i thought because of the missfire it would of put something on dash, how do i check compression as it sounded like the engine was gulping air

Comfort control module. It does interior lights, warning beep when lights are on with the door open and various other bits.
If it was missing it would be gulping air. You would have to have it compression tested, remove the spark plug, connect tester, turn it over and the gauge on the tester will give you the pressure.

Ok just started her up again and the same once warm all seems good, I've done video how do I upload, the video is on my iPhone so if there is an easy way, I've also got forum runner but it says I don't have permission so may need to wait and do it through my laptop, so any tips would be great.

Also when first started and I rev slowly rpm will rise and be ok but if I press quickly it will try and stall and sputter a bit then rise if that makes sence

Have you checked the airfilter/air intake hoses and all those connections? Ie every pipe and join from the airbox to the throttle body?

If there is a slight leak (due to bad re-fitment, or even a split in one of the black hoses or connectors) then it could make the engine run rough also - sometimes hard to spot cause it could be a small split somewhere

Just a little update guys, just came back from amd Essex and they done diagnostic and came back with temp sensor was 115 degrees when should be 90ish so that's being changed Thursday and also mass air flow is reading
G-70. P0103-001-signal too high-intermittent
So they will look at that on Thursday
So do you guys think this might be my problem or do you think it could be worse

I would buy genuine if I was you mate, heard of people having problems with non genuine MAF's.

As above, if the Pattern MAF works it doesn't tend to last as long as a genuine one.
