I ve already changed the charcoal canister due to me braking one of the plastic hoses on the top of canister raiden still had this problem it has gone now no codes when I changed the ect sensor recently Can this be right?

I was having the same issues and had the top Lambda Sensors Changed out and it still returns with the same issue, before i change the exhaust ones next was wondering does the charcoal box make any impact on that error?

I've also changed a maf still same code came up too lean on both banks although it was a euro's Bosch sensor & my pal owed me money & was at euro's otherwise I would of gone to vw or tps like I said have changed engine coolant sensor & now code has not returned funny that?

The reading off the ECT sensor is one of the parameters used to calculate the correct fuel/air mixture therefore if faulty there is the possibility of running too rich or too lean. It would also affect both banks.

Yeh bob thanks pal its just come in my head I was told & read a few posts regarding ect sensor so gave it a go & code has not returned should I change the 2nd sensor on the radiator same (part number) even though im not getting code now least I've got to the bottom of this matter fingers crossed been

As far as I know the one in the radiator is just for the radiator fan so will have no affect on how the car is running.

they around £25 gonna replace the old sensor done 85k just having to keep forking out on the cars at the moment non-stop even started to get engine oil changed every 5k @ vw thanks! (Cuprabob) top man! Good info

Did changing this sensor fix your lean faults? I'm having the same codes now and nothing obvious is wrong with the engine.
