So the time has come to sell my Bora!!

This is a very unknown car, I bought her as a relativley standard 2.8 4 motion 8 years ago and then embarked on a very major build! Spec is below:


2001 2.8 v6 4 motion shell

Genuine R line front bumber

Genuine R line rear bumper with custom lower valance to allow for centre exhaust outlet

R32 side skirts

Custom flared wheel arches - all metal

Full respray in LC9 black

De baged bonnet

MK5 style de badged grill

Genuine American GLI boot lid

Custom carbon fibre vw boot emblion

Zun sport black powder coated front grills

MK5 door mirrors with indicators and carbon covers

Indicators on wings deleted

Glass sunroof

Xenon hedlights

Front lip spoiler

The shell has only done 87k

The bottom of the shell was fully stripped back and fully stone chipped during re-build

MK6 fin ariel

Engine/running gear

MK4 3.2 r32 engine, that had only done 42k when stripped for build

Storm developments built and installed the engine, it was stripped back to a bear block, every bearing was replaced, the block was fully detailed before being rebuilt.

Wosner pistons

Carillo rods

ARP bolts

Garret GT3576 turbo

Full custom radiator, intercoller, pipe work and intake by Pro alloy all powder coated black

Custom power steering bottle

All smiles washer bottle

TTRS fuel pump

Syveks ECU

660cc Bosch injectors

Custom short run intake

Cast exhaust manifold ( not a cheap ebay job)

Full custom down pipe with tails blow off valve

VAG dump valve

Vibra tech engine mounts

Custom heat shields and full turbo jacket

It was mapped by Kev at Jabba sport, he mapped her with switch mapping, launch control and flat change, she is currently running 500BHP ( at the wheels) in standard mode and 564 BHP ( at the wheels) in sport

The engine runs on Motul 300v race oil which has been changed every 1500 miles

The Gearbox has a Quaffe diff, which was installed by J-tech automotive, the box had a full clean, inspection whilst apart and new seals and oil.

It has a spec 6 plus clutch fitted, and a light weight fly wheel

Suspension and Brakes:

KW variant 3's fully adjustable coilovers, with adjustable top mount platforms

neuspeed anti roll bars front and rear,

fully polly bushed, fully adjustable powder coated arms, TT quick steering rack.

All suspension components were striped and powder coated

Wiechers polished adjustable strut brace

Tarox 10 piston 356mm front set up

Tarox 330mm larger rear disc setup


She is currently running a custom set of Compomotive MO6 18 x 9 with 235/40/18 Goodyear eagle F1's


Recaro Pole Position front seats, on custom bases.

S3 rear bench seat

All retrimmed by Trimania in Black nappa leather with Grey alcantara inserts

Door card inserts and arm rest trimmed to match

R32 peddles and gear stick

Custom door cards, fronts have 2 x 6.5" speakers and 2 x tweeters

Rears have 6.5" speakers exposed, again all retrimmed in black vinyl to look OE

Custom Flat bottom steering wheel in leather and alcantara

Alpine Double din sat nav

Genesis 4 channel amp

Diamond Hex speakers

Genesis 12" sub

Optima battery relocated to the boot, with power turn off key and hard wired c-tek charger

Sound deadening to all doors.

Carbon Fibre dash ends

I fully appreciate a Bora isn't everyone's favourite, I would be willing to sell the car without some of the spec e.g interior wheels etc but it would be a shame to break her after all of the works.

I think it is worth somewhere around £22500.00 ono, anyone who has built a car to this level will understand the cost in doing so.
