dont use car much only on weekends work away but it's only o/s disc that's the problem and when this side is loaded up corners it's making a noise as if a wheel bearing has gone I thought I could be the calliper piston seized ?Is the car regularly used?
Is it only one disc or both sides?
well done fella blue Peter badge on its way lol?
It's a brake disc...
I'll give you that one, made me chuckle!well done fella blue Peter badge on its way lol
ive tried that with it but still nothing and car has just had mot in Vw only a month back the disc started scoring before it went in for mot mind they said it was most prob a stone stuck behind itIt certainly does look like a sized caliper although that wouldn't cause a noise when that wheel was loaded up. That's normally a sign of a wheel bearing on it's way out.
I would find a nice quiet country road and step hard on the brakes a few times to see if it cleats up otherwise I would strip the caliper and free it up.
dont mind a bit of banterI'll give you that one, made me chuckle!
what section ? I'm only using an I phone so don't get full site maybe you can helpMight get more info if posted in the correct section![]()
i understand about the surface rust building up on discs if not used regularly but to damage a disc like that there's more to it plus the noise aswell could that be something to do with itI get the grinding noise too if I leave my car for a few days due to surface rust on the face of the discs. Reason why I dismissed this was that he said it was only on one disc.
its got 2 score lines right the way around the disc it started as 1 now there's 2 and they getting deeperI'm on my phone so it's hard to see the damage to the disc in detail.
That's normally caused by a stone being stuck between the caliper and the disc. Also ties in with the grinding noise. Iits got 2 score lines right the way around the disc it started as 1 now there's 2 and they getting deeper
