Hi Everyone.
My mk 4 came debadged with an aftermarket bumper,grille and no headlight washers.
My intention is to put it back to standard.
I am collecting parts,I have a brand new vw bumper and the undertray. I need washer jets and hoses number plate plinth etc.
Now the questions.
The bumper came with a few parts with it,washer hole strenghening pieces etc but also what I think you call winglets. As I right in saying these are use to lengthen the wheel arch liners somehow? I cannot fathem where they go. There doesnt seem to be holes in the arch liners? Are standard Mk4 liners fitted to the R?
Also is there2 metal brackets that go underneath to hold the undertray up? On the attached diagram there seems to be? If so I am these missing.

Those 'winglets' are fitted between where the wheel arch liner ends and the bumper starts. This is because the R32 front bumper comes out wider than a standard Golf bumper.

Not sure about the metal brackets, couldn't see any in the picture you posted.

Thanks Rich. The winglets are white, great colour for them!
Feel sure tray should have 2 metal strip supports. The diagram has no numbers but they seem to be shown, I think....
I am not finding it straight forward at all in putting it back to standard.
