I have decided to remove my Carbonio CAI, and go back to the standard airbox, no reason in particular other than its pointless being on the car (and i fancy a gruppe m) :burnout:

Its only a month and a half old, comes in the original box, looking for £120 for it

Pointless?

edit; what a gruppe m?
Maybe Marty said that because he realises it will reduce his resale value or he was quite happy with the OEM intake and sees the carbonio as unneeded.

Gruppe-M is a carbon fibre ram-air intake.

A very wise decision, post some pics up of the van when you can :)

Marty says its a 'minted escort van', I would be interested to see what it looks like. It might not just be marty who has a winter car and this could create a whole new thread such as 'post pics of your winter car here'.

Awful in what way Martin? As in you preferred the sound and performance with the Carbonio or was there something wrong with your standard airbox and the engine didnt sound too healthy with it?

It just didnt pull near as hard, i honestly could never imagine a CAI could make such a difference, i think because the car has been remapped too may have an issue with the airbox.

Just spent a bit on bits yeaterday too, so i'll live with the Carbonio for now

Did you get a custom remap in which case that would have taken the Carbonio into account so thatd be why it was poor without it?
