I'm looking to replacing my springs and shocks soon as they are pretty worn down after 90k+miles(144K Km!!!)
The suspension is pretty sloppy, poor rebound, dull and unresponsive compression. All of this would be a simple change, but i've decided to step up my tire size to a 45 profile on the stock wheel. when i switch back to a 40(if i switch back) i probably wont have any issues. For now i want to keep these tires on as long as there is tread! will they scrap ?

Has anyone had any issue with a 30mm drop on a 45tire?

Here is the gap, its a decent gap and i actually dont mind it.

You will more than likely get rub with a 45 tyre and 30mm drop

It's stated in the description, and yes we have a huge mix of road surfaces. The scratches are from the previous owner lack of parallel parking skills

yes a 225/45/18. Its doesn't look that much bigger over a 40 in person, the tire just has a slightly rounded sidewall.

Sidewall on a 225/45 is 11.25mm larger than the sidewall of a 225/40
