Morning Guys,

Sorry for the delay in putting up this post but it has been a busy few weeks.

Anyways...

As you may or may not know I picked up my beautiful Mk5 3 Door DBP R32 at the beginning of this month.
The car has a lot of forum history and I'm so lucky to have got the opportunity to own it and keep it in the scene.

The car its self is obviously not standard, but the underlying 32 is very well spec'd (only missing the sunroof and cruise, neither of which I want) and the paint work is unbelievably well kept.

I fell in love with the R32 a few years ago and it has been my dream to own one for some time, the only issue is I am picky and wanted one which was in outstanding condition (I would have got one new if I had been able too, but house had to come first), hence the reason I joined this forum first, as where better to find a loved example than on here.

Soooo, here I am, My name is Chris and this is my car:

First fill up at Bp

Modification wise, I absolutely love the look of the car as it is, but at the end of the day I do "want to make it my own". As of yet I'm not 100% sure where I'm going to go with it, but if you follow this thread you will probably find out

In the meantime however, I am just going to enjoy owning such an amazing car and hopefully getting much more involved in the OC.

I'm quiet partial to the odd bit of detailing, so this thread will most likely become a dumping point for shiny picture

Hope you enjoy looking through, and can't wait to hopefully see you lot soon at some meets soon.

Chris

P.s opinions are welcome

Love the Speedlines not keen on the bra but it serves a good purpose :) hop you will enjoy it for years to come
Collection day:

I couldn't have been luckier with the weather on the collection day, the sun was shining and apart from the chill it could have been a summer day

My self, the father in law and the Miss's got up at stupid o'clock to dive up there nice and early. The father in law is also a fellow R32 owner, so we decided to go up in his Mint Grey Mk 5 so we could have a fun drive back.

Got a ridiculously large amount of pictures of the day but I won't put them all up

Here are a few though…

Absolutely loved the car from the moment I got in it and still really haven't stopped grinning

Hi Buddy,

Yeah it truly is a lovely looking car (but then I'm bias)

Stance wise... looks great but is sadly rather impractical in Norfolk. She is booked in tomorrow for a tincy wincy lift as the fronts are catching on the arches, will only be like a "nats doo dar" higher though... annoyingly its just on the edge at the moment.

Please dont shoot me

Looks great Chris, absolutely stunning example you got. The grill against the blue contrasts really well. Enjoy and keep the pics coming.

Yeah isn't the most common first mod I have to admit

Transpires both of the front shocks are slightly damaged and the cars actually running as low as it will possibly go on the front. Looks to me as though the spring rests ust to be about 25mm higher before they lost there threads.

Is just one of those things, not sure how its happen but isnt a big job to sort out.

So... I'm not really raising it, more returning it to is happy height

Thanks again for all the positive comment.

So glad I could keep this in the OC as it truly is a beautiful car.

This is one of my favourite R's on the forum. Jay done at a great job on it. Good to see it still around. Hope you enjoy it for a good few years.

I also love the first picture after you cleaned her up.
