If I have my car de-catted will I need to have my car re-mapped?

Thanks cheem, if I had it remapped at the same time wuold that mean I could potentially avoid having to pay extra just for the decat remap as they would have to that wouldb erase any faults to do the cat sensors?? (Dont know I if that makes any sense)

Sorry to thread steal here

But as we are on the topic, i have a decat and i have no error lights up on the dash at all! i had the engine management light for 24H then it just randomly went off and hasn't come back on....... strange??

I think you mean if you have it mapped will it also do the engine management light at the same time......yes...............

Just have the light mapped out and no map .............................

Sometimes it will be off whn u fit it, but 99% of the time it will come on.

A generic stage 2 map includes mapping the post cat lambdas out of the heater circuit. Thus no EML

Thanks for thebinfo guys, and just read my previous post which doesnt make sense bu Wez was kind enough to explain what I was sayin with the first option which is.... if I mapp it will that also get rid of the light that could potentially appear on my dash when I decat it. BUT reading wez's post am I panicking over a light which may only appear on my dash for the first 24hrs?

Carryin on from the convo earlier in the week. Would it be possible for me to use thebsame system and just decat with a remap...... or will I need a whole new custom exhaust only askin bcause my cats are on their way out and was thinkin I could get a remap and decat for the same cost, mu car doesnt need mot till nxt may
