Got the R in for a warranty repair and the stealer has just rang claiming that there's a bulge in the sidewall of one of my front tyres. Need to get it replaced which is magic!

Now, etyres are shut today, mytyres will take 4 days to deliver and event don't do mobile fitting in my area.

So that leaves me with 2 options for fitting - the stealer or kwik fit....what a choice!

Stealer is offering me Michelins for 166 each (WTF!) and kwik fit only has Contis in stock at 155 each. Now, do I really, really, really have to get both tyres replaced at the same time...?

Quick update...

Went to pick the car up and inspect the bulging tyre - what a bunch of drama queens! There is a small bulge on the side wall of the tyre which will need replaced but it's by no means undriveable.

So, now the question is:

The remaining tyre still has 6.5mm of tread on it, do I still need to buy 2 new tyres or just replace the one that's buggered?
