Hi all, today my tensioner pulley went and popped the belt off. i have a replacement belt on order, but on stripping my r32 down i noticed the tensioner was actually fine, it was the pulley bearing that seized up, then the plastic pulley had actually melted! can the plastic pulley wheel and bearing be purchased separately, or do i need to buy the full tensioner unit?

thanks guys

You can indeed. I had a gruven one on my old 12V engine and it was rubbish. The bearing was a loose fit and just held in with a circlip. I didn't fancy that + 7000+rpm, so binned it and put a standard one back on.
I had one on my MK3 VR and it seemed to be fine for me, not bothered for the R32 though.
