I've wondered ever since I saw it, one of the paddles has 'OFF' written on it - what does it actually do?

If you're driving in D or S and you grab a paddle the car will automatically switch to manual mode and then revert back to auto after a period of time (2 minutes I think). If you hold the up paddle in for a couple of seconds it'll go back to auto so effectively turn off the manual mode.
Ahhh right, cheers mate.

Always seems to be you that answers all these little questions I have
Hey cheers Guys ! I didnt know that either

Paul
I thought it was for cruise control.... :hmmmm:

s'pose I could look in the manual.
good to know, I thought it was for turning off the car...
Oh my! Why is it all us blokes are the same? Even with electronic gadgets, it's turn on and see what it does! Always reads the manual fellas, you may be missing out on thousands of pounds worth of functions you never even knew the car had!!!

I hardly ever read manuals but thought on this occassion, when I got my 30k investment home, I wanted to know every nook and cranny the car had!
...I wasn't actually beeing serious on my previous post ;)
But I understand what you mean Jay, I've been reading the manual like it was the bible and I was this sundays preacher :)

Amen my brother, amen
My dsg always reverts from paddles to D or S after about 20 secs of not changing gear. That's why I usually use S for sporty stuff rather than the paddles (use them for overtakes when I feel like it).

And yeah, I wondered for ages what the Off meant - experimented and went "Oh, that makes sense!"
