Had the pleasure of driving one of these this week. At first I was not convinced.... I didn't like the way the electronic steering weights up in fast corners, I don't like auto boxes as a rule and the seats are rubbish. But the more miles I do in it the more it grows on me... That 4.0ltr v8.... WHAT an engine!! It will pootle along in 7th at 40 no problem, but drop it down to 3rd/2nd floor it and it's ferocious.. Savage and the noise is insanae. It is fast on another level to the R and the grip in the conrners is epic. I haven't pushed it too hard yet so no oversteer fun on roundabouts as it's not my car so I'm being careful
all in all a proper machine and bags of fun to drive when you get used to it!!

Average 3 tables at a time, one going, one ready and one plating and then always squeezing cheeky 2's and 3's out on the side

On 'lunch' at the moment though, so feet up, nice hot dinner and some quality OC time

Had a really good blast on the way home tonight.. It's frightening the speed you can go without realising, you can take corners at
where normally you take it at 60. I can see how it would be easy to lose your licence in one of these things! It feels like it delivers peak power much later than my R, maybe around 6k revs and it keeps pulling right on till 8.5k revs!! Mental

Down side is it's very thirsty, easily £
+ a week if used as a daily.. More if you spank it.

Should have the R back on the road tomorrow though:)

I'm praying for rain so I can get the tail out without driving like a nutter!

The thing I really love about this car though is the way you can set all the M drive settings to max attack and give it some real stick, then flick everything back so it's nice and comfy when you get into town and off the B roads, and you can save the settings do you can do it without even going into any menus!

Don't need the rain
Just good soild steering flick & enough power torque getting thrusted to the back and it will go.
Esp or whatever its called in bm's turn off might help tail whipping aswell.

I used to own an E92 M3, they are awesome cars, I only owned mine for only 6 months but loved every minute of it!

I thought it was a difficult car to live with though as a daily drive, always felt I was wasting the V8, the power and the mileage driving to work and the supermarket etc.
