Well, it is with mixed feelings that I am writing this tonight! After 3 1/2 incredible years, I sold the R today! Feels weird - I'm sure those of you on here who have sold their R's in the past know exactly what I'm talking about?!!

I cannot begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed driving the R32 over the past 3 1/2 years! WHAT A CAR! I will/am missing it loads! But, the time comes when you have to move on, so it's gone to a new home - a fellow R32OC member - rj_skillz - a true gentleman so I know that it'll be well looked after!

Had a great morning/early afternoon meeting RJ and his brother at the Belfast International airport, checking out the car, sorting money etc and then handing over the keys and sending them on their way to Dublin to catch the ferry!! Must admit, it was weird seeing RJ drive down my lane and out of sight in the R!! He was very good though and he let me do the driving today as a last blast/send off as we went around half of the country to find a Barclays bank that was open....but I'm sure you'll hear all about the story when he writes up his post!!

I know that RJ has a few mods planned so no doubt we'll be seeing them all on here and so I guess, it's not the last I have seen of the R!!

RJ and SJ....hope you enjoyed your journey back and got home safely! Two great, genuine guys and I wish them all the very best! Take care of her mate!!

What's next then??......hmmmmmmm, not too sure yet! Possibilities are:

(1) Audi A5 3.0 TDI Quattro (beautiful car, and most likely candidate!!)
(2) VW Golf GTI Edition 35 (lovely car too....but is this a step back??)
(3) VW Golf R (needs no introduction....but is it too similar??)

Will keep you all posted! I'm not leaving here, that's for sure! I'll still be about....if you'll all still have me!!??!

Cheers everyone!

So its gotta be german
And am guessing AWD or great FWD
Smaller engine then a 3.2.

A5 are smart you kno ye really prefer typr s or rs.
Gti Edition Good cars but will it give you the thrill the R gave ye grip wise
R20 is it just a fanceyer gti, is there a difference between a new gti & a r20???

The brand new gti are awesome and look stunning in my eyes, prefer them to the R20 tbh.
Old Rs4 B5? Again its 2.7l tons of space and can shift. Cracking grip

Hey buddy,

brilliant post - thank you so much for it
I promise you that it will taken care off and is in good hands
It was very nice to meet you. Will make a thread up with pics once I give it a quick wash on the weekend and get rid of those splattered bugs on the front!
