Hi guys and gals,

After some advice again!

On the top of the MkV engine there is a black vw plaque. My car has a custom CF one to match the grill. However the clear coat went a bit rank and I removed it to get it sanded down and resprayed... Looks mint now!

However....

Can I stick the bugga back down!!!erm no!

I tried the hard core foam pads the body shop gave me... Failed after a 30 min drive

I tried silicone sealant... High temp industrial grade rated to 200 deg! Perfect!!! Until the 3hr drive to inters

Trouble is, when the plate heats up the right side likes to lift a little I think! And can't use sticky tape or any thin stuff as there is a couple of mm recess that I need to fill :/

Any thing you could kindly recommend??

Thanks as always

Sincerely

Cpwest

P.s promise to update my build thread soon...

No more nails double sided foam tape, its about 2mm thick
This stuff is ridiculous!! I stuck a number plate to a metal mount with it and wanted to change the plate, it snapped before the tape let go

Got mine from the local Homebase, theres not many variations.

Seriously strong stuff lol................you only get one chance to align it etc!
Thanks again Daz, one chance is all I need

Do you think it will withstand the temp?

Will be a very happy bunny if it does
