I took of the air filter and washed it. Thought it was dried so put if back on and fired it up. Sounded like it was sufficating so immediately turned it off. Took filter back off and noticed some moister. Now car sounds like crap and im getting this Triangle with a arrow around it showing up. Also were it would normally say MPG it is counting up in min. is my engine screwed? Do i need to change the oil or just dry off the sensors. Not like it was alot of water i dont get it.

Unplug the MAF while running to see if that makes a difference. If it does then your mafs at fault if not then its not.

Change your filter to it should never ever get wet

Hi

What did you wash the filter with? I presume not water as there is a market for foam/panel filter cleaners which don't really get too wet and not long before they are dried fully. Water should never be contained withing the engine....intake system or oil system what so ever.
