Hi on my drive home last night my car started playing up and the performance dropped, i scanned it with VCDS and it came up with these faults

000768 random/multiple cylinder misfire detected
p0300 - 001 - intermittent - mil on

000769 cylinder 1
p0301 - 001 - misfire detected - intermittent 0 mil 0n

readiness: 0000 1101

i reset the fault this morning and went for a drive and it was fine, i looked on the VCDS fault codes and it listed loads of different reasons why this may be happening, anyone got any ideas before it comes back ? thanks.

My guess would be the coilpack or spark plug on cylinder 1 is on it's way out.

Stick to OEM coilpacks from either dealer or TPS.

You could swap cylinder No.1 coilpack with No.6 coilpack to confirm if problem follows coilpack.

Sorry, can't remember if cylinder 1 is one nearest gearbox or as you say left looking from the front.
