What's your views in what happened today?

I'm undecided but not convinced kerbs have any part to play.

Pirelli head poncho was quite defensive and generic in his interview

It did kind of liven it up a bit

I thought it was quite good of Paul Hembrey to at least be interviewed knowing he couldn't say anything as he doesn't have all the facts. There is many a person would have hid away.

It will not be down to one thing. It'll be down to multiple factors and I doubt we will ever know the truth.

To be honest I'm not a fan of the single tyre rule, I much prefer a tyre war.

I think he has more of an understanding than he let on.
He has to be a politician though.

The thing is though, Pirelli have delivered what they were requested to do by the governing body. I can imagine Pirelli thinking this is more hassle than it's worth.

I was there for the weekend, had a brilliant time.

I think Bob is right and it will be a number of factors. There is a vid in the link below which makes it sound like the kerb at turn 4 had a part to play.

There was only 2 of the 4 incidents even in that sector. Not to mention the kerbs haven't changed since last year only the drainage

I think brundle was right when he said about high fuel load, biggest load through that single tyre All adds up to high temps.

I question what Mercedes achieved in barca now

LH said in his interview the tyres he tested were much better but as I understand it 3 teams have not given the go ahead for them to be used.

I watched the quali from around there the day before, good spot!

I saw someoned posted on the BBC Sport webby how appalling it was that people cheered his breaking down. I dont really see it like that, our man had suffered bad luck on his home turf and this was things evening up a little bit.

Were they loud where you were then?! The crowd went mental on the grass bank at vale.

My mate and I are going to go and camp every year from now on, unless it rains of course haha.

On the list to do before i die for sure!
Yeah has to be done, have visited Barcelona and now Silverstone, the atmosphere is terrific and the cars are something to behold.

In the pre-race drivers parade, Lewis jumped off the opentop bus and came over to where we were. Again everyone went mental, brilliant day, brilliant weekend.

Totally agree. The crowd were applauding every time Hamilton went past and were going mental when he overtook, great atmosphere!

You can't ask these guys to drive 200mph + on potentially ticking time bombs!
Has someone got to die before they sort it?

I never rated Pirelli road tyres in the past either however my Rocco came from the factory with P Zeros and they have been fantastic. So much so, i have another pair sitting in the spare room ready to go on. Really suprised my because I've used P6000s in the past and they were dire and my LCR came with P Zero Rossos and hated them.

It makes no sense linking Pirelli F1 tyres and Pirelli road tyres.
