Question about the 15mm spacers on the front, have you had any rubbing issues I've just bought some for mine so wheels clear my brakes but car is lowered so may have to raise her more again

Ive had no issues with rubbing, but then again i havent had mine lowered, the only issue i had was wobbly steering wheel at 60+ mph, the spacers enhanced the wobble that i was previously unaware of, a mechanic mate balanced them up right though and its fine now, how much is yours lowered? Ill go measure to see if it might rub

latest update, just been to my paint guru, and im getting a quote done for a couple of things:

Either a full respray which is the most likely option

Spraying the front bumper, rear bumper, bonnet, boot and a few stone chips scattered around, and scratches on the pillars etc. which he said would be harder as he would have to spray most of the car anyway to match the colours and blend them in, you honestly cant see them in the photos but they are pretty bad

And spraying the wheels dark anthracite

He is a really good painter, we had a mk4 gttdi painted dbp previously and it was flawless and looked better than the original vw paint (no golfball effect)

Well pay day came around again and i managed to go 1 day before spending

Im trying to get rid of the knocking on the drivers side front and i believe its common that the droplinks are the cause, so i bought front left and right from awesome today for £45 after being stuck in friday rush hour traffic! and if thats not the cause then at least ill know they wont need to be changed again

Also bought myself a new r32 gear knob from mike at awesome for a whopping £115, as my old one is tired and worn (also on ebay for sale if anyone is interested) it arrived in the post but it had black stitching on the gaitor, not the grey/silver that i had on my existing one so me being the fussy [email protected]£$%rd that i am, kindly got awesome to change it for me and they did, nobody was to blame as i didn't know they did a black version of it and neither did awesome, but ah well, all is sorted, will be fitting it tomorrow along with the drop links

While i was at awesome i was shown their demo car (passat cc with camo vinyl) and that demonstration is going to cost me a lot of money in the future

The drop links appeared to have cured the knocking noise so im happy with that. The only issue i have recently is that i went to my car one rainy afternoon to find a puddle in the rear footwell

and i have no idea where it came from, i have unblocked the sunroof drainage pipes but if it happens again i may have to take the carpet out and pour water over the car

I have stumbled across these babies

Porsche Cayenne 6 pot callipers

They are from a friend of the family £225 for the front pair (callipers only with the pad fitting kit)
They are the 17Z version and after some hefty research decided what i needed to make them fit

some adapters which i got for £55

im yet to buy the porsche > VW braided brake lines
and still need some brake pads (any recommendations? i dont want expensive ones, but i dont want cheap ones, £100 ish is a good price)

they look like they have been powder coated yellow, its really thick paint and they look like they have never been put on a car since painting, the pistons look new

only thing is i dont like yellow so ill get them sand blasted and done in the porsche red with some porsche stickers in a month or so depending on how much insurance renewal is

If im right, i think they will work just fine with the stock sized discs that i have (ebc turbo groove) and will fit perfect as i already have 15mm spacers up front, im just a bit upset that i cant have bigger rear callipers as ill lose the handbrake if i do, even though they dont do much anyway, but ah well

decided to go against the callipers and sold them (hopefully) because of people saying they will make the brakes spongey, and to be honest theres nothing wrong with them at the moment, they just dont look as good

ive decided to invest my money elsewhere and repaint my aristos anthracite, if anyone has any decent paint codes let me know, I'm leaning towards bmw a22 but i dont know yet

Due to vibrations at low speed on full lock i serviced the haldex, replacing the oil and filter, it seemed to cure most of it but I'm not 100% it is fixed, i did find particles in the old oil and that may mean my diff is kaput, but ill see how it goes, im also going to replace my top mounts as this was an advisory, lucifer has a diff and if it doesnt get better ill have it from him

once this is sorted i have big plans

or rather, expensive plans

after a couple of pay days, just need more room in the boot for it to fit

well he didn't text back, until sunday night, he said he had been busy all weekend and didnt get round to texting back?...

and he also said he is going back to work in 10 minutes (works away from home all week) so thats another week id have to wait just to view it, just seems a bit fishy because he said he was selling his car as well, and when i asked questions about it he seemed to dodge them, as i wouldnt mind buying the car if its in good condition with the air ride already fitted to save a job n half

hmmm, still want it though, just might have to look elsewhere

no theres no ad, its a dbp r32, i know nothing about it because he never answered questions, he just said he is selling it, hence the reason for sale of the air ride, but that might just be a white lie

I need to find out about this HPS air ride kit, it seems cheaper but i cant find anyone who sells it or prices written in stone, i looked at her today and i thought she was sitting high, thats never a good feeling
