Hi, does anyone know where I can get a genuine Bosch camshaft position sensor for a 2003 R32 sent by mail order please? I found them on Autodoc but it is out of stock for the genuine one. Are any of the none genuine ones on there worth a try or should I hold out for the proper one? I also need need a coolant temperature sensor as my temperature gauge doesn't work as well. Any help appreciated.

That first code suggests the cam timing is off - not a faulty sensor. The incorrect correltion betweent he cam and crank usually means a skipped chain or ,possibly, a stuck timing variator, but that usually give a set-point code instead.

The second one is quite possibly a wiring issue too. A better scan tool, like VCDS etc, would generally give you more details, like "open circuit", "Short to ground", "Implausible signal" etc. If it's "sporadic", i'd have thought a wiring issue more likely.

Check measuring blocks and see what its reads. Same with the timing - was specified vs actual for the cam timing. If it's skipped the chain, you may get no reading at all.
