On the mkV exhaust there is a mechanism with a push-rod connected to a valve inside the tailpipe. What is the function of it, and is this a similar to the flapper on the mkIV:s?
I've been reading about the flapper mod for mkIV, but cannot find anything regarding mkV:s (perhaps didn' search hard enough).

And....off to the gas station!:vroam:

It's the same principle as the mkIV I think.

A vacuum used to open the flapper valve in one of the exhausts at certain rpm's to allow more sound out.

Doesn't really make any difference on the MkV though, and not worth touching imo.
